PN4000 – The highlights from 2023

Day by day, we are constantly developing our top product PN4000 to offer our customers maximum full automation in CAD/CAM programming.

Today we give you an insight into the relevant innovations from 2023.

Innovations in PN4000

The implementation of all 3D processing directly in PN4000 has temporarily reduced the speed of our software in the past. Over the past quarters, we have been able to minimize this performance loss bit by bit and now have a version that is fast and covers all 2D and 3D processing.

Performance improvement in our power nesting routine

At the beginning of 2023, we started selling our new power nesting routine. With each new PN version, we have worked on the software performance itself in addition to many detail improvements in order to generate the nesting result even faster.

Further new functions

• Support of mixed gas (LTT tables) e.g. parts with oxygen and nitrogen in one table
• Recognition of nanojoint + microjoint + fixed web in one part
• The distance length for the rolling tools is calculated during the time/cost calculation
• Chamfer detection in the 3D model
• Support of the “Edgline Bevel” function from Trumpf

Development of new postprocessors
In addition to the development of special functions to increase efficiency, machine compatibility is always a key issue for our customers. Over the course of the year, we revised a number of postprocessors and also developed some new PPs for the following machine models:

• Trumpf TruLaser 5030 24KW
• Yawei HLF 1530
• Boschert Twin CombiLaser
• LVD PX1530-L with FA-P sorting and compact tower

Innovations in PNBend

Our fully integrated, manufacturer-independent bending simulation enables our customers to map the entire 3D processing in PN4000. No switching between different programs with different interfaces – just one program interface for all production steps.

In addition to the implementation of further functions, we have been supporting a range of new control systems since this year, guaranteeing our customers absolute manufacturer independence. The following control systems have been integrated into PNBend:

• Trumpf Multitouch
• Delem DLD
• Delem DLC
• LVD
