Milling with the Trumpf punch head

News, 20. April 2020

So far, anyone who wanted to weld something onto coated sheet metal could not avoid the subsequent manual surface removal.

For such cases, PASS Stanztechnik AG has developed a milling tool that fits into the tool holder of Trumpf® punching and punch laser combination machines.

WiCAM specially adapted the post processor for the Trumpf TruMatic 7000 (K02) together with the company Wieneke Anlagenbau und Verfahrenstechnik GmbH for this tool – and can control the tool fully automatically with activated chip extraction.

Support for the milling tool in PN4000 will be available as an individual adjustment from May 2020.

WiCAM solutions for Trumpf machines are available for all current models (TruPunch, TruLaser, TruMatic), automation systems and for all previous machines from 1980 onwards.
